Hello everybody,

My husband has been using porn in the internet and I just found it on his I-pad. He lied to me about it being there and tried to decieve me.

Is there anybody here who can talk to me or direct to a better place to talk with folks?

Do you think he is addicted to porn? Do you two have a good connection physically? I think my husband uses porn sometimes too, but we have also looked together too. I am not sure if it's an addiction for him. I would definitely be concerned at that point. If it is an addiction, he would have to want to get help.

Does it bother you that he uses it or that he lied about it?

I know my boyfriend uses porn sometimes too. It kind of bothers me but I know its normal so I try not to let it get to me. In your situation though, I would be more bothered that he lied about it. I've never really had a conversation with my boyfriend about him watching porn, although hes said before that he has, so he doesn't lie about it.

How do you feel about porn? Not everyone is okay with it in their relationship for various reasons and that's ok too. Have you both discussed this previously? I would be upset about the lying too. It breeds distrust. Which isn't good for any relationship. I suspect he lied probably because he didn't want you to be upset. It's not a good excuse for lying tho.

I think it's really important to discuss topics like porn in a relationship and know where each other stands. Just like any other matter in relationships. If neither of you are clear where each other stands on issues things can get messy. Just like we all have different ideas of what cheating is and isn't, that can be a problem if we don't clearly define our boundaries to the other person and come to agreements.
