I really don't know if this would go in this forum, but here goes:

I started talking to this really awesome girl on Saturday. After we talked for a little bit, she told me she had a huge crush on me, and I told her the same. We flirted nonstop, even talked about having sex. She asked me if I would go on a date with her on Monday, and I accepted. We went on said date and had a really great time, and she even suggested a second date. I tried to text her on Tuesday and received nothing back, and Wednesday morning I get a text saying that the other night was way too fast for her and she wasn't looking for anything.

I sent her a long, respectful apology on the site we met on, but received no reply. She goes away to Mexico on Sunday for three weeks, and I've considered waiting until she gets back to try and talk to her.

I really liked her personality and her sense of humor. If nothing else, I would really like to have her as a friend. I just don't know what to do. I don't want to seem desperate, but I don't want to lose my chance to get to know her, maybe even go on another date after we are friends for a little while. This whole week it's been like everyone I talk to is so boring. I find myself saying "he/she's nothing like -insert crush's name here-."

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

She changed her mind. Plain and simple. Could be an ex is back in the picture. Who knows. But she changed her mind. Move on.
Thanks for this!

I do agree with what the above person said a lot of times it is that the ex boyfriend is back in the picture. You really do not know what the reason is though and it is hard to tell. Obviously she is not ready for a relationship.A lot of times guys just don't see no for an answer so maybe she is avoiding you for that reason? Just tell her that you are fine with being just friends and if she agrees with that... go out with other girls. Don't just waste your time waiting for her. And maybe when she is ready to date again she will let you know.

Maybe she did go back to her ex, but it is hard to tell. Maybe she is just not ready for a relationship. All I can say is tell her you are fine with being friends no dating just friends. In the meantime move on date other people and if she ever wants to give it another go maybe she will let you know?

i know how u feel. ive been talking to my high school sweetheart on fb over the past week & after all this time i still have feelings for him but i dunno if he feels the same way. at first we were having long talks but past couple of times our talks have been short. i broke up with him in high school cuz i just wanted to get drunk & party. hes divorced now & i left my husband back in december & my divorce hearing is on july 26. like u i dont wanna sound desperate or be pushy but i feel like if i dont talk with him every day he will just start to think im not interested. hes really kinda hard to read & i feel like i couldnt bear the rejection if i tell him how i feel & he doesnt feel the same way so im reluctant to tell him. does anyone have any advice. maybe i should just keep my mouth shut & be satisfied with just being friends.
