So, my apartment mate got back from a double vacation at 7am, and posted pictures of the dishes in the sink I forgot to do last night on facebook with comments on how gross/disgusting it is. I was having trouble sleeping last night and should of just cleaned them when I was awake at 4am. Seriously, there are other ways to deal with this that would make you seem like you are 22 and you chose the least mature. I would have been a lot happier if you woke me up or left me a note. What makes it even worse is we go to a small school.

Now that is about the most childish thing I've heard in a very long time.
![]() Why don't you write a REAL long apology and list things you've done like breathing too loud, and blowing your nose, and forgetting to do HER laundry, and forgetting to pick up HER mail, and yadayadayada...........you get the picture. LOL That would be pretty mean, but not as mean as her putting that snide picture on facebook & saying you didn't do the stupid dishes!!! You must be living with a real winner -- I think I'd be looking for another place to live -- somewhere where I'm not living with a freak about details! If she gets that freaked out about THAT, what must she be like about something REALLY important! YIKES! Sorry you have to put up with this weirdo. She's defiinitely got a problem and should see a therapist. LOL Take care. Hugs, Lee ![]() |

I would have much rather her have knocked on my door at 7 when the noise from her and her friends woke me up than post that. She also has a picture of some spots on the counter of food that I could not find there when I went to do dishes. The microwave was covered with her popcorn grease/oil. Just a little less then a month and I'll be moving. I really doubt they would let me move over this.
I would like to handle it in as a mature of a way as possible. I don't know if that would be ignoring it or writing her a note and sticking it on her door or fridge. I'm thinking a simple note something like, "I'm sorry the kitchen wasn't clean. If you have a problem with me or something I do, please tell me or write it on a post-it note and stick it on the fridge." After an incident with a friend a couple of months ago, he suggested writing our problems with each other on sticky notes because there is only so much you can put on one. Now one of my "friends" has commented on it. I'm freaking out. Appartment-mate isn't in the appartment. I don't know what to do. Now everyone at school will think I'm a slob. YOU know you aren't. And actually SHE knows you aren't. And that's really all that counts. Who cares what other people think? I suppose at your age, I would care too, but as you get older you realize that it doesn't really matter as long as the people who COUNT know the truth.
She was being super childish, and she probably has OCD. She's overly picky about things, and she's going to drive herself nuts. She really should NOT have a house mate cause NO ONE can live up to her expectations. Her expectations are too high! No one could meet her standards. I'm glad you're moving out cause she'd drive you nuts. You don't have much longer to put up with her, so just try to do the best you can so she won't put your undies on facebook. ![]() ![]() |

I agree that she overreacted.
I don't think she is OCD either. It almost seems like she's as fed up with you as you are with her and that it's a good thing you guys are moving out and won't be roommates anymore. Toward the end is can get really catty if the roommates don't get a long very well. I'm sure she was not always a bad roommate, but it's become more recent in the last previous months. This happens. (I have had my fair share of bad roommates too) The best thing to do is wait out the least and move away and stop contacting her if you can help it. Hopefully you find better living arrangements!
