Lately my family & I have been dealing with a lot of problems from my 15 yr old son. Namely cutting class, failing grades, poor attitude, bullying from his peers, blaming me for all of his problems.
I simply do not get it. He came home today and complains that I made a situation with him & a bully worse by contacting the school administrators about it. The student was suspended for cussing out the AP.. Well my sons feels I isolated him to his peer group. Well, my husband went with me. he hasn't said a word to my husband about being angry or upset with me. Not once. I went to the administration because of safety reasons. Rightfully so. Children are so violent now days.
It is HELL raising a teenager. It is. My 14 yr old isn't like this & I pray my 9yr old doesn't become this way... My stress level is through the roof since he has been home & unloaded on me. I was pacing ,anxious, sick to my stomach waiting for him to get off the bus. Not knowing what will happen next. Only to be met with an ungrateful, resentful 15 yr old....

I don't have kids but when I was 15 I blamed my mom for everything. I think that's a normal kid reaction.
Thanks for this!

Have you considered taking your son to a therapist so he has someone to speak confidentially to who can perhaps hone in on is personal issues and anger problems? As you know, not all teenagers behave and react that way; it is a sign that things may be going on that you aren't aware of completely. I have 3 sons and I teach high school. Some kids just need that extra, more objective support than what they have at home.
