My relationship with my partner has been terminated and it is already having an effect one me.
She used to occasionally hold me while we were falling asleep and then she would let me suckle on her until i nodded off. I hate to say this, but i probably miss that most of all. I find myself holding onto a pillow and wrapping my legs around a doona as i fall asleep, and also burying my face into the pillow. It's a physical need, like sugar and caffeine, which has suddenly been withdrawn. |

google for the hugging machine. I think another member has discussed this prototype that was made by an inventor in Japan and another hunger at MIT.
Another thing is the human being does have some basic need for hugs for a sense of closeness. Huggable device has been effective for autistic young people and preteens, too.

Cats help. Did not know about the machine. I would think that cats' usefulness has been tested for a longer time
