I am losing pigmentation due to a disorder called vitiligo and i'm starting to look not great. My partner and I don't talk about it often and she still has regular intercourse with me, but I don't like the way i look and I almost feel like I want to be alone now because of it.
Any similar experiences? |

I.T. I don't have vitiligo but do have severe body image issues that make me ashamed of who I am. I don't like the way I look and don't want anyone to see me moving (clothed or unclothed), so I can relate in that way.
My only suggestion is to keep your focus trained on your partner; how much you love the way she looks and feels, how good you're making her, how bonded you feel when you're in bed together. These good thoughts might crowd out the bad thoughts. From a practical side - there are products that can help you look better, such as waterproof and smudgeproof cover up cream that is tinted to match your skin color. I've also seen creams that seek to lighten the darker skin so the depigmentation is less obvious. I'm looking forward to hearing other responses. |

I'm sorry you don't like the way you look because of your problem but do they have medications for the symptoms? like someone else said already there are skin creams and lotions that may help?Your partner doesn't seem to mind that is good. I used to sell mary Kay and Avon a long time ago, but don't remember if there was any creams for pigmentation problems, I would look into it.
