I'm trying not to feel disconnected from the world, but I do. I live with my parents and I have a few friends (all long distance), so I'm not completely isolated, but everyone I know is just busy with their lives. I miss being able to work or having something structured to do. Does anyone else feel like that?

Are you in the U.S.? If so, check out MeetUp in whatever city/town near you. They have Everything from knitting to cooking to dancing to walking and everything in between.

You are lucky to have the internet! There are lot's of us lonelies out here. Someday I may actually get up and out there myself. When I get over my fears...

Thanks! I didn't know about Meetup. I have my fears of strangers, too, and I don't have transportation or money to go out, so I don't know how practical it would be for me. But you're right, I'm really lucky to have internet - it's real lifeline!
