Ever wonder if u could go an entire day without anyone inquiring or calling or texting u? I'm pretty sure people at work would seek me out bc they need stuff from me. But otherwise, I doubt anyone will call, initiate a text or a conversation. I might test my theory tomorrow and just see how many people actually have a desire to talk or connect with me. I bet it's not that many :/

And why would you want to test your theory? It seems a little strange lovely Doggie - you sound fed up again so why make it worse?
Besides, if you want to measure how much people do not care about you, a day is hardly a fair yard stick. Circumstances could stop people calling you for a day that are not a true reflection on how they may think of you. You'd need to do a couple of weeks really - like any survey, a broader spectrum gives more truthful results.

If you're feeling lonely, get out there! Don't be afraid for YOU to phone your friends and see how they are. Friendships are always better when both make an effort - like your buddy who came over when she had the house redecorated. You, although worried beforehand, had invited her to stay with you and ended up having a good time. Worry less, live more.

Hugs.
Thanks for this!

Why don't you try another experiment?
Be the one who starts the talking and see how many people around you will be more than glad to be asked questions, to answer, to believe that you care for them.
We may all go into the "no one needs me mode". I used do that when i was a little girl.
Now i know better. I know that i care for a lot of people and that a lot of people care for me.
Not everyone of them tells me about how they feel and how much they care but sometimes it just pops out when i least expect it and i realize how much i have misjudged them.

Care for a piece of advice? Start to care for others and others will care for you.
Promise
