For some reason i think that when someone says i'm good at something, i feel like they really envy me on the inside. I'm just like hey don't be jealous and they're all denying. Maybe they are and maybe they're not. maybe they are because they want to be just as good. Maybe they're not because I'm thinking too much and letting the world center around me.

it very well could be that they are indeed envious of your good skills at something

however, that fact still does not negate that you ARE good at something

Also, saying that one is good at something and wishing someone well are two completely different animals.
