Hello,
How do I tell a family member they shouldn't visit (person is unstable)? Thanks in advance. |

Welcome to PC ckoeber. Could you be honest with this family member?

Hi, ckoeber, "which" family member is unstable, the person visiting or being visited?
I would just say I don't feel well enough/comfortable having visitors at this time but would love to continue talking to them on the phone/in email/texting, etc. and maybe later visit them (where you can control the visit better).

Well, one thing you could say, is that I don't mind spending a little time with you, but it will have to happen somewhere other than my home.
Or, I am not up to having company, right now. ![]() |
