Being in the relationship I am, in a way I have to agree with you. I am already 39, and if this marriage fails, I am afraid the hope that goes with it will fail too. We tie so much into happiness and hope when it comes to our relationships.

I keep reminding myself I will be OK. I have a bright future and goals I can achieve even if we do divorce, but the idea of being single again at 39 is scary.

This is actually a new idea for me. I really haven't thought about it this way. I honestly do not know whether I agree with it or not. I will have to think more about this.
