Just interested to hear your guys' opinion… I'm a (straight) girl with a close male friend. We ended up cuddling for over an hour on a couch even though we usually just hug goodbye. He ended up half on top of me, our legs were intertwined… But as far as I know he doesn't date for religious reasons and I don't remember him showing interest in me beyond friendship. Was he just looking for comfort after a rough week or something more? (Which I would totally be on board with, but I'm afraid to make a move because we spend a lot of time alone together studying which could get very awkward)

I don't know that he was "looking" for anything more than comfort at the time, but being that close to one another for over an hour....well....things happen. You may both find that you have "those" feelings for each other. Sometimes you just fall into a relationship, unplanned. You may not have to make a move at all, it may just evolve on it's own.

You probably have feelings for each other whether expressed or not, spending alot of time together could raise deeper feelings for each other too. maybe he really likes you, alot, and you will have to see where it goes from here. Like Michelle25 said it may just evolve on its own.

I'm agreeing about the evolving aspect. Cuddling is intimate.
