The more I know my boyfriend, the more I feel he and I aren't compatible at all. I don't think this relationship will work out, so I want to end it. The problem is, my boyfriend is still passionately in love with me. I don't want to hurt him. Although I no longer have romantic feelings for him, I still regard him as my close friend. What can I do? How to dump someone without hurting him?

I do not think any one can ever end a LoVe relationship with out the one that still cares from getting hurt.... what I would suggest is for YOU to tell HIM exactly what have you said here as to let him down as easy and caring as possible.
I wish YOU the best in doing what you feel is right for this relationship (and for you) and I am PROUD of YOU for not wanting to hurt another living being.... you are doing what needs to be done with a caring & open heart.... Good Luck. LoVe, Rhapsody - ((( hugs ))) |

Just do it as soon as possible. The longer you go with it the worse it will be.
As he is in love, he will be destroyed. There really isn't much you can do about that. Also, you better not count on the "friends" thing anymore, or at least not for a long, long time. This person will need a lot of time and space. Hopefully in the long run, things may improve. Perhaps some day you two will be able to have some cordial relationship. You'll just have to cross your fingers and go with the flow. |

Yep, it is always best to be truthful with someone, rather then send out confusing signals...
He will probably be hurt, but at least he will know where he stands. Good luck with it all. |
