multiple people tell me they sense something dark about me. i mean, it sounds genuinely crazy. one person said they sensed darkness around me. they thought there was something off about me. i wrote it off. but then another person says they always felt there was something wrong with me, something not right. what does that mean? it's confusing.

I think you need to hang out with new (better) people.

Aura's are a paranormal thing so it really kind of depends on who is saying that to you. But what they might mean by saying that you have a dark aura, in a broad definition, is that they associate you with fear, evil, and things of that nature.

But honestly, they could just mean that you wear a lot of black clothes or that you seem to have a negative perspective on life, something like that.
Thanks for this!

I don't believe anyone can see your aura or even know or believe in what the world describes as such.

Anyone that would go out of their way to say that there's something "off" about you needs to go look in the mirror and see if they see perfection. That is just completely defeating and an awful thing to say. To say you seem to be in a dark mood, or that you seem down is one thing but to tell someone they are off? Wow. That just blows me away. Just point me in their direction. I have a sledgehammer that has their name written on it.

Take heart and don't worry about the negative, critical yahoos out there. Find better people to talk to and ignore the rest.

*hugs*

Meh. I wouldn't read too much into other's perceptions. What do they know? If it is someone that genuinely cares about you and doesn't judge you - listen up. But be true to yourself above all.

Maybe, it was, indeed, the way they stated it, the tone of voice? I just look at your avatar, and it does scream out to me, 'dark'/or better word, 'noire' (sp?) And there's nothing wrong with that. It's an individuality of expressing yourself. I, have lots of black, in my wardrobe. I've branched out a bit, to heather greys, maybe a white here and there, but it's primarily black. I've been through much in my life, it's my favorite 'non' color. I, don't choose death or a fire avatar, like yours, my darkness and your darkness, seem to vary. And that's ok.

Perhaps, it was a level of (hate to use this word, at this point) rejection, that came with the tone? A way of showing, that instead of embracing your differences, they'd immediately not accept it, and that, to anyone would send a twinge of pain, internally.

they didn't seem to be rejecting me. they added that they were a little bit scared of me sometimes. the one girl, specifically, said she felt i had an evil spirit inside of me. she said she could sense these things.

my avatar is from The Hunger Games, so not sure what that has to do with anything.

See, how first impressions, may vary? I refuse to get into that series, just like some people refuse to like certain foods.

First impressions, can be intimidating, in their own way. Sensing an 'evil spirit'? Well, um, under first impression, of that comment, I wonder, if that person saying that, couldn't use a little PC help?

Are you, truly a dark soul? Or are you just someone who is 'deep' and 'noire'?
