Right, I'm deeply perplexed. I called my gf of about a year now by a different (similar sounding) name.. several times now..

1. I have 2 coworkers with that name so I say that name often at work
2. no, I do not have feelings for a person of that name, nor am I thinking of that person when I say it (or at all in that way for that matter)- it's like it "jumps out audomatically" when I'm speaking
3. the 2 names are similar in that only 1-2 letters in the middle are different

the question is- how do I prevent this from recurring - it's deeply disturbing to me

Honey, baby, love, and every other pet name under the sun. Do you usually have memory recall issues?
