I have read a few different relationship books and a few books on bipolar disorder. My girlfriend and I are having extreme problems in our relationship due to a lack of communication due largely to me. I also had an emotional affair with another women which only makes matters worse. she is distrusting me and constantly thinks im cheating. things have been over with the other woman for over five months. the constant accusations are so frustrating me. I know shes hurt and i need to do more to convince her. but most of the time she thinks im only out to defend myself and prove her wrong. im at a cross roads. we have been together for two and a half years we also have a child together. does anyone have a recommendation on a book or a site that might provide some tips or better understanding on how to built communication. sometimes i get so angry and i blow up on her. she is ready to leave.

Hi Grendle, Sorry I don't have know of any books to help you.
It takes a while to build trust in any relationship but since you betrayed your partners trust it seems you may have to put up with her mistrust or questioning for a while. You will have to show her with actions that you can be trusted again and that you mean what you say. There is no book to tell you how to build trust. You need to have some patience.
I think Dr Phils relationship books are good and easy to understand for communication. Good luck
