I physically can't have kids, but if I ever adopt and become a mother, I hope that I NEVER treat my kids the way she has treated my sisters and I. ![]()

I used to be very critical of both my parents, until I became a parent. My mom cared so much they she became overly involved in my life. She was not smothering, just not letting me be independent. Now, years later, I have the perspective of a parent. Things look very different.

Feelin for ya.
My mother, who actually can be at times rather nicely caring, can REALLY DRIVE ME CRAZY too!! Sometimes really lacking in supportiveness, sometimes selfishly reactive, sometimes just stupidly annoying ... But, as I guess seekersinking is kind of saying, these mothers of ours - like most people - are just struggling along with whatever they've got (and haven't got) trying to make their way through this crazy world. ![]()
