"If you are still friends with your ex - either you never loved him/her or you both are still in love."

What do you guys think? Saw this quote somewhere but I don't know who quoted it. If the quote is valid, then what does "not being friends" mean? I don't know why this quote bothered me, but it just did..
Thanks for this!

I think quotes are rather silly.

No one but two individuals knows the truth about their situation.

I am friends with a few of my exes. I have zero desire to be in a relationsihp with them again. Does that take away from what I felt when I was with them? No, it doesn't.

Feelings change.

Exactly. I totally agree. But the thing is, every time I see a quote that somehow is related to my life, even a little bit, I try to wrap my mind around it and somehow maybe use it to inspire me in some way, or whatever. At first, I had thought of it as just a silly quote, and perhaps I started to related to it, and felt a little uncomfortable about it. But it's alright I guess, I just think too much.

Thanks Red Panda. Useful and helpful input!
