So here is the situation. I was just recently talking with a friend of mine who said she would love to be a Momma for me and as silly as this may sound or even stupid really, I'm not sure what that means? I mean don't get me wrong I am a Momma of 2 boys 8 and 16 so I know what a Momma does for kids, but I don't know how to be Mothered, does that make any sense? I never had a Mother and have always longed for one, but I really am not sure what that looks like as a 39 year old woman. Can anyone help??

Maybe she meant like a mentor... When I had family issues there were two women who I would confide in to help me to make sense of what I was feeling.

My therapist told me to find some kind of surrogate father, because my father was so awful when I was a child. It sounds weird, as I am also 39. There's no way I could approach someone like that. If someone approached ME with it, I would be really freaked out.
