i need help with an issue I've been having for the past couple of days. my friend Oliver dislikes me because he thought i spread a rumor about him. what do i do? how can i get him to believe that i didn't start the rumors?

ask him what makes him think you spread the rumor.
where is oliver getting his information from & what motive does that person have to lie on you.
you probably need to sit down with him and talk about it, let him know you are upset about this and concerned about the damage it is doing to your friendship,
true friends would never spread rumors about each other and he needs to know this, IMHO a private one on one conversation should help you resolve this matter, good luck!
