Second date with a guy my friend hooked me up with. Did dinner and a comedy show but the dinner was down right aweful! He didn't talk at all and I couldn't think of any way to keep the convo going. I'm kind of at wits end here and ready to just throw in the towel with the dating thing. I just don't know if I'm meant to find someone. I could sure use a pep talk folks ;/

Yeah, with new dates it's hit and miss, you never know. This past winter I went on what I thought was a very nice date, we grabbed beer at a bar then saw a movie, on a snow day. But we never made it to another date - he started acting weird, made a date then cancelled on the same day, then disappeared for three days, then reappeared and told me on the phone that the fact that my parents are divorced makes me a poor marriage risk. I said "Well look for somebody whose parents are married" and hung up on him, and when I called him back my number was blocked.

Then about a month later, I got taken out by a PERFECT GENTLEMAN and every minute of his company was a pleasure. I kept him laughing, so I'm glad. There wasn't a heck of a lot of chemistry but just going with someone as upscale as him is a beautiful day to remember!
