There was a bit of an incident between my man and my friend and it has been messing w/me ever since. I have a tendency to over-think everything that happens to me. let me know if you think I'm doing it with this situation.
On our way to spend time together as a family, I asked "man" if he heard from "friend." He said no and that was that.
Next thing I know, friend is apologizing about texting man thinking it was me. I was like, whaaaat? I asked him if he heard from her and he said no...wtf? Why would man lie to me about that? I mention this to friend and she starts acting all concerned about the texts she claimed she thought were to me. It turns out, after quite a bit of back and forth, she asked if he wanted to come by. He said, I'd love to, but falling (me) wouldnt like that. Then she's all like, wait...what? I thought this was falling!!! Man was like, why would falling be texting from man's phone? Friend said she had us listed as "man" and "man's girl falling." Friend handed me her phone and let me read their texts. only part that really hurt me was man saying he'd love to go over. Really?? Love to, huh? The other thing is, i really think friend was up to something but just keeping her self safe from looking like a homewrecker. she knew she was texting him all along, especially when she invited him over. i was her main friend so you'd think it be "falling" and "falling's man, man" buuuuut no. i gave her the benefit of the doubt, however, man and i argued about the lie and the flirty response.
Couple weeks later, we are all together at her house and when i went to tinkle, she asked if he was mad at her, he said no and she said something about letting me read the texts cause shes my girl and thats whats up. Months later, im asking if she's made any advances toward him and he said the only time was when she asked if he was mad blah blah but this time, he said she said i just snatched the phone out of her hand and started reading their texts. thats a lie. one more thing, when i was discussing the flirty reply w/friend, she said...i dunno, maybe he just really missed me!!!whaaaaat?

Now, your thoughts please??

Geez, neither of them sound that trustworthy to me. I would have a problem with *my* friend listing me in her phone as man's GF. If she is *my* friend, it should be the other way around, my name should come first.
Thanks for this!

So, I'm not overthinking things? I really didn't think so.

I realize that by giving her the benefit of the doubt, I ignored my own inner-voice. My mistake, won't happen again.

As for man, we have serious talking to do. We have 2 kids 2gether and that makes it hard to dicide wether or not I can go through this anymore

I am going through a hard time like that. We have two kids together too. I don't know what to do, but I know I can't live like this anymore.

They're both dogs. No, you're not overthinking anything. Yes, you can do better. Life is too short to be spent in the company of these types of people.
Thanks for this!

I wouldn't trust either one. Don't base your staying or leaving the relationship on your children. Staying together "just because of the kids" never seems to end well and resentment builds.

Take care
