Sorry about the title, I posted something different but now I wanted to talk about a different thing.
I had a situation recently where I was talked about behind my back, literally. These older kids in my singing group were talking about me on a day of our performance and we were all in the same room and I think they thought I couldn't hear them. They were saying Oh that girl heard about what happened on one of our singing trips. Yeah she knew so much information like Where did even get this from? and she said she wanted to drink like Okay as long as you can control yourself and not get too crazy. *When I was talking to 2 of the older guys a few days ago, I asked them if they party on trips and they said Yes and said I was invited! And said like Yeah we always make sure to have fun.. And then I told them I heard things about the drinking and what happened during that time (and the reason I said this was just to spark up a conversation. Not to act like I know it all and all the dirty secrets of the trip and none of it was about them or their friends) and they seemed okay with me knowing this. I even told them that someone from the class told me the information* While I was hearing all this, I didn't know what to do. I was feeling very blushed as I was on my phone. Then one of the girls was next to me and said Oh we were just talking about you (why would she say that) and I said Oh... And she said we were talking about how good you looked in your dress. I said Oh thanks. And then this one girl goes I remember back in high school when we wore those floor length dresses with a disgusted look on her face because my dress was from when I was in my high schools singing group (just this year) and now I'm in college. I said "Oh yeah..." Every girl in the group wore dresses that went up to their knees while I wore a long one. I was going to get a shorter dress soon. I was just very appalled and very disturbed because they are way older than me and for them to talk ***** like that? They need to grow up. Last edited by Beachlover527; Oct 26, 2014 at 08:53 PM. |

I agree, Beachlover527. I learned not to talk about people behind their backs when I was in college. I was complaining about a friend while standing in line in the cafeteria, and the friend came walking up. Thank goodness she evidently didn't hear me. I vowed never to do that again.
