Wasn't really sure where to put this, but since it had to do with my mother, figured this might be a good place. This is just a venting thread, because I never get to say this to anyone, especially her, and it's not good to keep things bottled up. So, now:
To my mother: "Yes, I am part of the problem, but so are you, and you seem to forget that or fail to acknowledge it. For one, you spend at least $1200 a year on cigarettes, that's a lot of money that could be going elsewhere. All those do are feed your addiction and destroy your already worsening health. You also don't seem to understand the concept of saving money, something you've unfortunately passed to me, which I hope to change. I understand in some cases it's unavoidable to use the money, but there are other times when you don't need to touch it, but you do, and it's destroying us. So yes, I'm part of the problem, simply because I can't find a job in an already severely limited market tailored to Spanish speakers (and I can't even try for a job right now because my car doesn't work, which you've been spending the repair money), but you are also a very big part of the problem and I'm tired of taking all of the blame for you!" Vent over, thank you. |

Oh Bamboo, I get what you are saying and I hope you can figure a way to help your mom realize it too. Or at least figure a way to get your vehicle repaired and get a job so you can better take care of yourself
