Is it bad for me to want a separate bed from my partner?

We've been living together for 1 year, spending nights in the same bed for 2 years, together for 3 years. First time I've consistently shared a bed with anyone.

Possibility #1: I just want it because I know it works for my parents (happily married 23 years)

Possibility #2: it's actually something I need, because when I'm manicy, I find him sexually desirable enough that I can't fall asleep, and no, masturbating doesn't help.

Dx: BPI, GAD Rx: Lithium, thyroid, not Seroquel because it's giving me side effects that make me cry, don't worry I'm talking to my pdoc soon.

I know my mom and my step dad have separate bed rooms , because his snoring keeps her up at night , seems to work for them .

Is your partner ok with it ?

He brought it up once (before I did) suggesting it for the future - but currently we live in a 1-bedroom apartment with no space for an extra bed

Get a couch that has a pull out bed if you only have a one bedroom apartment ..
You can find them free or very low cost on CL
