I have seen my therapist thrice this year and I have no more friends. I am isolated.

Or a fourth and unusual option...my primary care doc helped me more than any therapist...and my bf helped me immensely as well...without both of them I might well be dead.

Also, opposite gender friends are not an option. But the idea of this kind of a survey is really good!

My current psychologist who I just started seeing about 5 years ago & my DBT group leader......& a good same sex friend (something I haven't had since the age of 25).....first time in my life (finally at my age) I have had very logical people to sit down & talk with & have rational conversations with. Something I never experienced with my parents & NEVER experienced with my H of 33 years.....so strange to start at this age finally finding people who I can really relate to in my life......how difficult after 50+ years of having only dysfunctional people in my life to even accept that there are people out there who are capable of being helpful
