Hello, i'd really appreciate any input on this situation:

my boyfriend needs more attentions than im comfortable with, and the more he asks from me the more he actually pushes me away. we have tried talking about it, we talked a lot, but even if we understand each other's needs, we always end up unhappy. i do try to force myself to give more but the more i give the more he seems to need.

anyone can relate? any suggestions? i dont want to breakup with him but i feel we both are on the verge of the breaking point.
Thanks

It's hard to really say because his request might be very reasonable or it might not be. I think it's always a good idea to try to have an open conversation about your needs, what's holding you back, and what you can each do to try to take care of each other's needs.

Thanks. But sometimes i just feel the more we talk the less we understand each other because we basically have opposite needs in this regard.

does it mean we cant be together?

maybe i'll try talking with him once again today, but im just so sick and tired of it.
