I have (very few) friends, only 2 of which I feel I can be completely honest with, and family, who live several states away, that I know I can turn to for all kinds of support, but so much of the time I feel so alone and so isolated. I may be my own worst enemy in that respect because I know that they all have their own lives and things that they are dealing with, so I feel like I am bothering and burdening them when I talk to them about how much I am hurting and struggling. I know it isn't true, but still feel like I have no one that I can turn to.

I, so, understand your post. I feel the same way. I only have 2 friends, too and one has her life filled with kids and grandchildren and their problems. The other one is in a nursing home due to an overdose. I hate to burden either one with my issues.
I only have one daughter and we are close but I don't feel I can confide in her either. PC has been my only outlet for a while now and thank goodness it is here for us. I don't know what I would do without this safe haven and the friends I have made here.

Everyone has problems but that should not stop you from asking for help . I know for me I enjoy helping others .
Even tho I am dealing with a lot of crap , that doesn't stop me from helping people . You have friends and family let them into your world , you will feel so much better then keeping it all inside . |
