My library has an "internet cafe" on site, where people can rent a computer with internet access.

Last night i was at the library, when i noticed an attractive woman at one of these rentals. As i walked past, i noticed two things;

1) a big rock on her ring finger

2) she was on AshleyMadison.com scrolling through the postings

I guess the advantage of using a public computer is that it cannot be traced back to her easily. Unlike her personal or office computer. Or browsing with her phone.

When i left about an hour later, she was still going through the listings.

At work today, i mentioned what i saw. some people thought it was harmless, while others said it was a red flag.

Do you think she was cheating? If not physically, then at least in spirit?

If you found your spouse visiting this website, how would you feel?

I'm curious to know your response.

Maybe she was looking for her husband's profile on the site?
Thanks for this!

Well, If you are are married or in a committed relationship and you are on a site like that you are just asking for trouble, or looking for trouble!!!

That was the first thing I thought too. One of my best friends is a member of just about every hookup site you can think of. Every one of her profiles is designed with her husband in mind. She monitors them like clockwork and browses all new profiles every week to see if he's on there. I have no idea why she's so paranoid but I feel sorry for her.

The big rock on her ring finger might not be an engagement/wedding ring. I'm widowed and wear rings on that finger. They mean nothing more than I like the ring.

50/50 shot in the dark. Maybe seeing if hubby was on there or maybe looking for a playmate herself.

Thanks to all the replies.

@ hyvert....i never thought of that

@raindropvampire.....that is just so sad

@ lizardlady... possible, i know several women who are single but wear rings..... but if she was single then why go to the effort of using a vanilla i.p. address when she could have just used her phone to browse?

@ElCambio...what caught my eye (besides her) was the giant AshleyMadison.com banner at the top of the page.

She might not have internet access except for using library computers. Frankly there's too many unknowns to have an educated opinion.

Ya know ... I just thought of something, years ago when I was manic for a year and worked 3 jobs .. one of them was a waitress gig, great money but a lotta creepy dudes that didn't understand the word NO, I bought a nice CZ set and wore it to work, Didn't get all the guys to leave me alone but it really helped knock off a good portion of them.. Maybe she is doing the same?

Anything is possible, but why visit a site that specializes in married profiles?

Maybe she is married or perhaps she is single and prefers married men (but that is a whole other post)

What is a CZ set btw?

Agreed. too many unknowns.

The question remains, (assuming she is married or equal to), do you think this behaviour equals cheating?

There are a lot of cheating, flirting sites for married people online. I was hoping this forum wasn't a site that encourages it.

Why do you think that this woman is married? Just because she has a ring? Anyway, even if she is married, maybe she is not happy and she is looking for someone else. Maybe she is just curious what these sites offer. It is her private thing and that is not cheating.

I'd never heard of it, am happily married and just went and looked at it as I was curious.

Not enough information to know what someone else is doing.

The reality... a great deal of people "cheat". If your interested in her that could be a red flag..if you do not share the same values. It's her life and there is no way to know what her circumstances are.
