It's human nature, it seems, that people tend to relate to others regardless of sex, age or race. This can be very frustrating for me and others because of my deep depression. In a hotel on holiday, a young man made many attemps to make friends with me. I was not keen. We ended up fighting. A woman working in a cafe played the same game. Not getting the love or attention she was after, she turned against me and became agressive. How to handle myself and others in this kind of situation? How to avoid getting involved in the first place?

It can be difficult at times to express love and understanding towards others when you are struggling with deep depression and possibly not feeling sufficient self-love and understanding. Be kind to yourself, and seek the help that you need. Are you seeing a counselor?
