Went out to dinner with friends tonight, I really care for all of them but I just couldn't relate to them. It was like a movie when it goes into slow motion and all you hear is the music and you see everyone talking and laughing...and realize that you are not...and don't know why.

(((Lackadaisical.me)))

I am sorry to hear that this has happened.

But I wanted to let you know that you are not alone, this has happened to me too.

Sometimes for me it just might be that I am going out when my mood state is a bit lower and to be honest I don't find my company's jokes all that amusing even if they are laughing in hysterics I'm like meh okay. Yeah, it does tend to go in very slow motion doesn't it - I know what you mean by slow motions - music ... I surmount this to my boredom (I'm sitting there in my head thinking ..... when will this end .... I'm not really enjoying this ..... I'd rather just go home .... why on earth are they laughing so much .....)

Yeah, I've been there too.

Take it easy.

I hope this shall pass.
Thanks for this!

When I don't feel good in someone's company I just find excuse and I go home. Why to waste time on a bad company. Next time will maybe be better

The feeling sucks for sure. I've been through it several times. If you find this happens often with that particular group of friends it may be worth it to consider whether you are actually 'compatible' with them. Do they do something specific that makes you zone out? We all have our off days so if you don't feel chatty / relate once in a while it's fine but if it's a persistent thing you should probably address it.
Thanks for this!
