What kind of a person does favors for you that you DON'T ask for, then turns around and expects you to serve them whenever they so choose as a result of it?? And you have no advance warning that they are doing you a favor, so you can't tell them not to. What kind of a person is this?

A manipulator. Or your mom. But you get to decide which one of you is the fool? Talk it out.
Thanks for this!

In my case that person would be called "in-laws" and they use it as a form of control and manipulation.

In my case it is my dad. Why? Because he is very unhealthy in every way possible (don't mean physical health)

I found that once I figured out this was a 'thing,' I started noticing it. I think martyrs have a tendency to do this. Some people aren't really aware that they are doing it - they just think that the way the world works is that they do something nice for you, and you do something nice for them.
