Hi, ever since I have started dating my boyfriend, I have not been able to sleep regularly and I keep waking up in the middle of the night. Can anyone explain to me why this is happening? I think it might be a mental situation rather than a physical one. I think me not being able to sleep is because I am becoming dependent on my boyfriend. We have been together for about a month and he was having trouble sleeping too. Please help! I really appreciate it.

Are you perhaps just excited by the newness of the relationship? Is it a troublesome lack of sleep or just can't stop thinking about him, lack of sleep or some derivative?
Thanks for this!

It's really more troublesome than anything and it has been progressing for about a month. I think it might be because I miss him holding me but this has been going on for some time now. He has also been waking up in the middle of the night, although it could be the newness of the relationship, because neither I nor him have really dated before each other.

I would think excitement like healing said but are you nervous something bad will happen? Are you stressed out when you try to sleep? Or your mind just won't quiet and reminds you of him a lot and you smile but can't sleep?

No, I'm not really nervous but now that you mention it, I have been pretty stressed lately. Yes I do think about him but now I think this could be caused from stress. Thank you so much for the reply! I really appreciate you guys help! 😚
