I guess I've always been a little odd, or at least I've come acros that way- thanks to my introverted nature. Most girls and women aren't quiet like me. I guess I could go back to smoking weed and drinking regularly, people seemed to think I was so normal hen . . . But I won't because I'm really enjoying this healthy lifestyle I've been maintaining for the past few years. And it's true what I was told several years back, that once you hit your 30's, you really do stop caring what people think. And why not? This is your life? I wish I'd reached this point at a younger age. Sure, I had the IDGAF attitude before when I was into self medicating with various illegal substances, but this is better. A self realization and self-acceptance.
Oh, and for those who think I'm being paranoid about thinking people think I'm weird, this was all confirmed yesterday when after talking briefly to two male coworkers I was stepping away and I heard one of them say "she's so weird." to each other. Of course, the guy that said it is pretty odd himself, so whatever . . lol. I don't care if I'm not the best 'people person,' because those who are are usually putting on a front. Some people just don't get along, it's jsut a part of nature, like a bad chemical reaction. If you don't like me for whatever reason, I really don't care. I do treat others the way they treat me, so don't be a *****. Because I will not tolerate that. I wish everyone could live by the Golden rule . . . . ![]()

Good for you! I understand exactly how you feel, I have never fit in. I prefer unique as opposed to weird! To be honest there are only a hand full of people who's opinions I value and as long as I am civil to the rest they can believe what they want.

Hmm most people I know or ever known do not regularly drink whatsoever and I never associated with anyone who smokes weed. By this logic everyone I know including myself are weird. Lol there is nothing weird about me.
I think the issue is that you associate with wrong crowd where drinking and smoking weed is a norm. Maybe you could look for new friends. Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I had one guy call me quirky on a date once and when I asked him if that was good or bad, he said both. I didn't go out with him again after that - how rude of him. If someone thinks you're weird, that's their business, its really got nothing to do with you. Because honestly - if someone thinks you're weird, theres probably countless other people out there who would think you're awesome. It's totally dependent on the person who is actually judging. Think of a celebrity that is very popular - I'm sure 50% of people think that celebrity is weird, and the other 50% actually like them.

I think because of past experiences with friends I'm just very untrusting of people. I think I may have avoidant personality disorder.
