My boyfriend makes plans with me then cancels at the last minute for work, or being tired, or... anything. When he calls he always has to get off the phone after only a minute. If I say anything to keep the conversation going, he says "I have to do XYZ or I feel tired/busy etc and I want to get off the phone. IS THAT OK WITH YOU??? With your PERMISSION I'm going to go, do I have your PERMISSION?" This is after literally only being on the phone one minute and me just asking a question about something in our lives that would require him to talk to me a tiny bit longer, not demanding he stay on the phone. He tells me he loves me and misses me when he's away, so I know its not just because he wants to break up- he is very outspoken and would have said that if he wanted to.

This isn't abuse. He might either be legitimately busy or hates talking on the phone ( I hate talking on the phone). Or he might not be into you that much. Sorry he might say he loves you but it doesn't always mean much

Sounds abusive to me. He lacks respect, hes rude. Get rid.
One question, if you treated him like that, how would he respond? When I was young I look back and realise I put up with SOOO much s##t. Wish I hadn't. Demand respect and you will get it. |
