I've been working on myself to break this pattern of mental hijacking that seems to plague my family. In February I decided, on my own and without my husbands or my adult children's knowledge, to finally treat my BPD. My husband feels I should tell them so they can choose to or not be involved in my recovery. He feels a face to face would be beneficial. I think that since he's only known about my diagnosis for 2 weeks that he's asking for trouble that might likely be a set back for me as I've been the cause of their emotional damage. Letter, talk, postpone?

Bipolar or Borderline personality?
I personally would wait until you are actively getting help to manage your struggles, No need to invite the world into it .. I don't see a reason to rush into things. Welcome to PC
