I clicked on my boyfriend's home button on his phone to see the time and I noticed he had a notification from kik instant messenger. In my experience I've only used kik when I don't want to give a guy my phone number, and my friends have used it for the same reason. The picture looked like a girl, and I'm just a little paranoid. My boyfriend was cheated on in the past and has insisted that he would never do that to someone else, that if the relationship was unsatisfying he would say something. And he's had no problem in the past telling me when something didn't feel right to him.
I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance that he isn't cheating on me. I know I should talk to him but I don't want him to think I was snooping or that I don't trust him... I'm paranoid as it is, Borderline Personality Disorder will do that, but idk.... I just don't know why he'd have/need it. |

A lot of people also use kik as a way to keep in touch without racking up text messages. I use Kik myself and I'm not cheating. I do have some online friends that i prefer don't have my phone number and kik provides a way to keep in contact while respecting each other's IRL privacy. I wouldnt look to much into an app on the phone unless he gives your real reason to suspect that he is using it for unsavory acts.

You could always ask without being accusatory. Tell him you noticed it on his home screen and thought it was unusual. I'd take his answer for what it is and not look for anything more unless he gives you reason to.
