My brothers refuse to have contact with my mom. My uncle and aunts dislike her and it is apparent in their behavior. She is very mentally abusive. I guess she was nice to some kids she was babysitting. Now the mental health workers don't believe me when I say no one likes my mom. I shouldn't be required to be around her if she starts abusing me again.

You're an adult - you don't have to spend time with your mom if you don't want to.

Where would you prefer to live. Is there an alternative to staying with your mom that you think would work out better for you?

If you feel you must have contact with her then you should name the place. I always met my mom at a 'third place'.

If being around your mother makes you feel bad...don't spend time with her. Or keep contact very limited.
