I am not really asking for advice, just venting here. I just feel on edge when he is around, which is most of the time.

He keeps stressing over money, and I worked up the budget and SHOWED him the numbers, and we are in the GREEN NOT THE RED. But he is stressed because he is out of money and will not get paid for a few weeks. In the meantime, I will get my weekly paychecks but they are small since I work part-time. BUT THE BILLS ARE PAID. WE HAVE FOOD. AND SHELTER. AND A CAR.

Then he starts nitpicking my purchases (which are small). Today at the eyedoctor, I found that I will need to get multi-focal glasses which will cost more. He asked me why don't I get regular glasses and use reading glasses. I was like Why would I do that? Why would I mess around with 2 pairs of glasses? He said that because he doesn't want me to spend as much OF MY MONEY.

I do buy groceries sometimes. And I will pay 1/2 the car payment for the car we just bought, as we agreed.

Additionally, he drills me with questions constantly. About little things. About my appointments. He tries to tell me what to say when making an appointment, tells me what to say when I AM ON THE PHONE...

OMFG I am so irritated right now I can't even go on.

I may start working full-time soon, and if I do, I think I will get my own place. But now that we bought a car together, that makes moving out kinda hard. But I will figure it out.

He sounds a bit controlling....?

I'd be irritated, too.
Thanks for this!

Yes, he is controlling, and we've talked about it and he says he is trying to stop. I am losing patience though and I don't think I can wait for him to change, if he were to change at all.

He isn't doing it in a mean way, but still, it is annoying.
