i begged my bf to take me to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3 tonight...we have no work today or tommrow..its already 7 pm..im in my room crying...i begged...i pleaded...i offered to pay for all it ....and he hasnt even made an attempt to take me or talk about it....i dont want to ask him again...ive done enough begging and pleading....if i do it again he might feel obligated because im crying....and i want him to take me because he wants to be with me...i guess he has decided everything else is more important

maybe he has something on his mind that is bothering him. ...I would hope he isn't intentionally trying to hurt you by not taking you to the movies. Maybe later he will be able to explain why he couldn't.... ((((((((inny)))))))))) take care Snowy

Inny, take yourself to the movie!! You don't NEED him to go with you. Find a girlfriend that wants to see the movie. Maybe he doesn't want to sit next to you while you oooo and aaaaaah over Johnny Depp! LOL Just go! The heck with your bf!

well...i ended up doing just that..asking a bunch of girls to go...actually the whole family ended up going!!!! Including my boyfriend !!!!! lol he said that he didnt know i wanted to go "now" ...lol yea ok....but he ended up going with me ...see i wanted HIM to go with me ....because well..as weird as it sounds is that its our movie ....we HAD a long distance relationship and the first time we started dating was when we saw Pirates of the Carribean 1 ...and from that night on we have watched that movie every single night we were apart...we would put it on at the exact same time...and we would watch it together...it was the one thing that made us feel so close when physically we were 10000s of miles apart..we also went to the second one together on a date...which happened to be on our anniversay...our one year anniversay.....now coming up in july is our 2nd year anniversay....but obiviously the movie didnt come out at that time...i dont know why...but that is why i really wanted him to go with me and why i was so hurt at that time ....he did say he was going to take me later that night...and i will leave him with that excuse...we got to see it together...and thats what counts....im happy again...thank you for your support

I'm glad you were able to go and come to grips with letting b/f off.
I will tell you that being a guy - when I messed something up the last thing I needed was a lecture...let me save face and try to correct it. Caution, of course, with this as you still need to be assertive (not doormat and not aggressive) about your feelings. I think it is a fine line...
