Will insurance accept that report in order to process your claim?

Phew, right? And by not needing to file a report yourself, you are relieved of the burden of being placed into an unenviable situation, in my opinion.

((((GentleHugs)))) for your situation.

What does your therapist say about the tumultuous relationship with your son?

She basically told me that though I divorced his mother when he was 15, I do not owe him anything and not let him try to guilt me as I did nothing wrong. Now for the situation at hand she suggested that I follow my heart as to what I believe the moral and ethical thing is to do, but not to make the decision while I am upset or angry.

Just going to eat the deductible and any increase in monthly cost. As for my son, if he wants to be part of my life, he needs to make the first move and we will go from there.
Thanks for this!
