Hello everyone, I wasn't sure where to post this so I thought I'd try here and if someone has a better idea, please let me know.

This is kind of related to DBT and kind of related to relationships.

I recently (today) experienced the feeling of betrayal because I found out somebody had been withholding something from me for months.

I went through all my feelings charts: from my former ACA sponsor, a current member of my DBT class, and my old DBT material. I found nothing written on betrayal. I looked up the word in the dictionary and it has to do with being deceived.

Does anybody have any idea what category of emotion that would fall under?

The closest thing I could come up with was heartbroken which falls under sadness.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I googled list of emotions, there are many hits, such as this image:

Betrayal

In this list I would potentially include all the emotions in the fear category, many under anger, and many under sadness. Perhaps also astonishment.

Maybe, but that's not what I was feeling at the time.

Thanks Bill3! I think for me it was sadness. Like I had been disclosing something to somebody for months only to find out today that they had been hiding something from me for months.
