Do any of you have problems - or know some who has - with your lover regarding smartphone use/addiction?

that person is hiding something if they don't show u what they are doing on there so much. Others have a genuine addiction to the screen. It's like a security blanket to some people.

Yep... It seems we have two common types of issues regarding smartphone use and couples.

1. Trust issue -> One believes the other is hiding something - almost always an affair - and have the urge to check it out.

2. Addiction issue -> One spends too much time on the tiny screen not leaving room for quality time with his/her lover.

I believe most couples nowadays experience one issue or the other, in different levels of intensity.

Break-ups in heavier cases are common.

It depends what they use their smartphone for. My husband likes to read news, write emails, browse and play games on his phone. I have nothing against that at all.

Yes. Husband is on it constantly, even while he's watching TV. I am not concerned that he is cheating with others. He reads news stories, plays games, used to look at a silly X-rated site before it closed called Consumption Junction. He's just a media addict and also likes constant learning. If someone asks something he doesn't know, he whips out the smart phone and looks up the answer. It really annoys me.

But we are separated now.
