The title says it all..
I am ending my friendship of 28 years... years and year and years of being the "best" friend of being supportive and helpful and funny and puting time in making the friendship work... no being able to salvage the friendship.. there are lines and then there are LINES... and once you cross that LINE - you can't take it back.. I didn't and wouldn't cross that LINE so she did... I hope she is good at making BEST friends because this one is gone.. I am so depressed right now, I could swallow my whole medicine cabinet... |

I know its hard to say goodbye. All the work you put into something to have it blow up in your face is so difficult. I hope you can heal from this quickly. I'm so sorry for the loss of your best friend Hugssss J |

Yes, I am finding that relationships that have endured 20 to 30 years have been ending. My T suggested it's because I am healthier now, and relationships formed earlier were dysfunctional.
That doesn't make the pain and sadness go away. hugs for you. Do something nice for yourself. May a hot fudge sundae instead of the med cabinet. __________________ |

Thanks everyone... this has been a long time coming.. and it is because I am healthier... I just have out grown the friendship - I cannot stay in the same place... not if I ever want to be truly healthy..
I am who I am who I am.. and I will be who I will and cannot be as I am... and please, I am in a very senistive spot right now.. my T and I have been working for this outcome.. it is just scary on top of being so very sad. |

Freewill, yes it's a loss whether it's going to be better for you or not. Like Pat, I "lost" a best friend years ago too.
It took me a very long (too long) time to trust another "best" friend. I hope you and your T can get through this part of the loss too. I am sad with you. I hope you feel better very soon. Okie __________________ |

i understand how you feel. i feel i am also ready to end my relationship with my "supposed best friend" i just wonder why cant they just be here for us, and at least try to understand. i dont know the whole story behind your situation, but just wanted to let you know that you can talk to me about this if you want. |
