Got an apology and some validation

Not from the parent I would like to have it from. My mom is the one I'm having major issues with. Anyways growing up I got carsick all the time, like anything longer than a 15 min trip and I was sick! I was told to suck it up, that motion sickness meds were very expensive. I even got yelled at for things that I found helped me, I would smoosh my face out the tiny van vent window with googles on. Anyways, my kids now get carsick and you know what I do, we have the meds on hand at all times, they both have barf buckets, changes of clothes and a whole kit of things to make it easier for everyone if they get sick.

Ok so here's my validation. My dad went deep sea fishing with his buddy and got Horribly sea sick. I get a call "I'm sorry" I was like for what? He says "I just spent the day sea sick if that's how you and the kids feel in the car I'm so sorry that's awful!"

Well to bad it took you 25 years to realize it sucked to sit in the back seat praying you don't get sick because these are your only clothes and you don't want to cause a delay. I'm just glad I can make it easier for my kids. I truly understand. Lol when I jump in the back to help them and we are all back there my husband giggles at me because I turn just as green as they do. Luckily we only get sick in the car. No where else. Lol


Ok I'll stop rambling but it felt nice to have someone validate something I go thru and apologize for not sympathizing when I was a kid.
