With Friends Like This...

...who needs enemies?

I'm proud of myself that I didn't tell off my so-called friend. Instead, I'm venting here. People can be such shyts.

Very long history of on/off with this life long friend. This is another very difficult person that I am able to manage a relationship with.

She called to see me tonight, knowing she says she has no money, I usually pay for her, knowing she owes me $200 that I loaned her and she hasn't paid back. I told her about the state I am in at this moment and asked if she'd help me, and she said if I drove to her town 45 minutes away, she'd take me to her walk in clinic. She also got in a couple of barbs just to be obnoxious.

Some friend.

There's nothing the hospital will do for me. I am just having a horribly bad time dealing with these emotions. I'm not in need of emergent care.

If she thought you are that sick that you need walk in clinic then how and why would you be driving 45 minutes? You would go to one by you. Omg some people. Reminds me of so called friend who told me to marry my ex BF so I can get his social security as he wont live long with his alcohol problem ( it was in response to me saying that I plan on leaving him). I eventually stopped talking to this person

That is such a diabolical thing to think let alone say, wow.

I just got off the phone with our mutual bff. She got taken for $300 by her, and every time she asks for her money back, she puts her on the defensive to avoid and deflect. We just laughed a lot about her. At least we can both commiserate as we both know her so well and she treats us both with such craziness.

I learned in Torah study class that you are never supposed to say anything bad about any body even when they are really bad. I'm sorry, I can't do that. Maybe if I can learn that and learn to avoid people who cause me to have to talk bad about them, I can evolve to a higher plateau.

Change is hard.

One thing I learned is NEVER loan money because chances of ever getting it back is almost zero. So now I look at my finances & if I have the money available to GIVE AWAY then they get....this also included my daughter. If I dine have money to give away then they dont get.

She definitely doesnt sound like someone I wpuld waste my time being a friend with

The other friend and I were questioning why we stay her friend. She is just the funniest, larger than life person in the world, and as long as we can keep her at a safe distance and take her in small doses, we can manage her.

There's something about me that draws me to people who are characters, and then, of course, they are also problematic people. But too normal bores me. I know this has caused me a lot of pain.
