I was just scrolling through facebook and saw an ad for a website with a list of "short trips" and being the travel fanatic I am, I started looking through them and some of them looked like exactly the types of trips I'd like to take. Now, I don't really do travel agencies, I would plan this stuff on my own, but I was just looking to get trip ideas. So I look at the details about some of these trips and I notice there is an "Ages" field and it says 18-29. Many of you probably know about my insecurity about aging. As a 29 year old, it doesn't sit well with me that in one year I will be considered not part of the age groups that includes young people in their 20s. But apparently this is an agency that has that age limit for all their trips, because they claim that is the feedback they received from their clients: that they would prefer to not have people over 30 in their group. In their FAQ, they shamelessly defend their policy, perpetuating the ageist idea that people over 30 are "into different things" or some **** like that.

How is this acceptable? Would it be acceptable if they limited their services to only people of a certain race or sexual orientation? This is exactly the same in my opinion. I really really hope this company goes out of business because of this. In fact, I kind of want to organize a boycott.
