so, I was at my X's yesterday to pick up my dogs. I do NOT miss being married to my X. But there are things I do miss about being married. living in a nice home, getting a new car, going on vacations to nice places. My X makes a very good living. If only money was enough! However, what I learned years ago was...money and stuff can't kiss you, hug you, have sex with you in a friendly manner, talk to you about your hopes and dreams, laugh and joke with you or even be there when you are in a bad place and reassure you that things will be ok. and my X didn't do those things either. getting the opportunity to find real love and physical satisfaction were more important to me than the 'stuff'. but I would like to go on vacation!
eh...just doing a lot of thinking these days.

I'm in the same boat. My ex husband made a hell of a lot more than me.

Money doesn't buy happiness ... but it does make our lives easier!

I can very much relate to this...I do sometimes miss the nice house, the vacations, etc....but I am so glad to be out of my marriage.
