He says that he is looking for an apartment and when he moves out will be when I find out. IDK how I am going to survive financially as if I can take on any more bills...not to mention all the repairs that are needed. He has pawned all the repairs off on me anyway...I am sure he is not keeping up with the two bills he is responsible for. Anyway...it's the waiting that is killing me...and for the kids...what is even more messed up is that he expects everything to remain the same...he can't find a place that will allow the dog...so he expects me to take her. But he wants to keep her during the day and stay with me at night...wait how is this even possible, you can come and go as you please in my house, but don't want to pay for anything for the family...I just don't get it....Oh yeah this is the same schedule with the kids too. When I try to talk to him about it, he says it is coming, I will know when he is gone...he will cut and stack all the firewood that has been sitting in the yard for 4 years...and he will pay me all the money he owes me...lol...does he have like a million dollars??? And we can take thus up in court. So stressed and anxious about this...I have never lived alone before and I think he is going to try to get child support from me because he is a manulative prick. He always gets what he wants. Not to mention...isn't keeping the family home for the kids important??? Give them some stability???

I'm assuming he is the father?
What's this about him " looking" to move out. I would just kick him to the curb now, why should you have to sit there waiting? I think a huge adult conversation needs to be done and boundaries put into place. I'm sorry your going through all this.

Can you borrow money from your mom or dad, an IRA, something, for a good lawyer? Someone in my family got divorced and the total cost for the lawyer when it was all said and done was about $7,000 but some of the total came from some of the assets that had to be transferred to split things evenly. However, if their is a child custody battle that would be more expensive but if you H (?) has no money, it will make more sense for his finances not to fight against what is customary. If your H is a fighter and knows how to push your buttons, having a lawyer will save money in the long run. They usually need at least $1,000 to get started....If you can research your rights (try googling what the state laws are for splitting assets/alimony/child visitation)--maybe even read some of the state laws, they usually can be found at your state's government website. Knowledge is power...Are you totally sure you both are really splitting? If he has no money, how is he going to rent an apartment? Perhaps he has hidden assets.....

Yes he is the father and basically says if I don't comply with his wishes he will seek custody of the kids and everything will be split in half...I don't want to kick him out only because I want to keep things civil...and to prove that I am not walking out, I am not kicking him out....that he is the one walking out of the family. I have spoken to lawyers but they both say that I have to wait until he leaves before anything can be filed. One told me that I cannot evict him since he is not a tenant.

Yes it has been really tough especially since we are not on speaking terms. I don't think the courts would like to hear that either...I really wish something could be worked out, but that's me being selfish...
