I've been told that I'm intense by a few people before, and passionate by a former friend. I don't think that I'm that intense. Anyways, I regret ever having posted something personal on another thread as I then saw a few comments on there that seemed to be directed at me such as how someone "flooded" the place.

WTH does that mean exactly? I looked it up and basically it means to overwhelm a place. That board is a silly place btw to where not to many serious discussions take place. I didn't ask them anything about that as I don't know them and I don't care about their opinions that much anyways. They're just a silly cliquey bunch IMHO.

For those of you who are familiar with my posts, do I give any of you the impression of being to overwhelming, to intense, to sensitive, or anything like that? I hope not.

I can take constructive criticism and examples would help too so I can improve on whatever I need to. I don't like being this way. I wish that I could just control my emotions as easily as most people can, but I can't, ugh!

Hi Shy, I'm sorry that you are feeling uncomfortable about posting here.

My impression generally of PC is that sometimes people have a lot going on in their lives and they often deal with it by posting a lot of threads, often the topics are related to each other. IMO this is completely understandable and acceptable and if users do not want to see the threads they can easily use the ignore button. This is a support website after all.

I hope you don't mind me replying to this. I'm doing so from a place of respect, sympathy and the desire to be supportive. My only observation, and it is just that, not a criticism or anything personal, is that you sometimes take someone's response to your comment, and then reply; but in a long list, where several people have said different things. So in other words, you post say 3 times in response to 3 comments. What might help is if you either replied in one longer response (you can cut and paste stuff in Word and then back onto PC so the time limit doesn't shut you out) or just take the highlighted points and reply to them in one post. I'm sure that's all people mean. The way you do it is unusual, if you have a look at some other longer threads, which may be why there is a perception of you flooding a site or being intense. So it's format rather than style. Does this help at all?

You don't comes across overwhelming or intense at all. I don't always understand why you are so preoccupied and upset over some minor mundane things, yet you are content living with abusive husband. But that doesn't make you overwhelming. You also often ask for advice but then don't really follow it. But we all do it. So no big deal. I believe one doesn't need to read if they don't like it
Thanks for this!

Hi, those comments weren't made on here. It was on another board. And yes, people can just ignore whatever they don't like.

Hi, thanks for your honest response. No offense taken at all! I'm a bit confused by your answer though. When I respond to a lot of people right away, I do tend to repeat myself, so is that what you're telling me, that instead I can copy and paste my answers to each person instead? That's a good idea. Yes, that did help a little-

I'm not that upset by these peoples comments especially since I don't know them. I was just curious to know what the meant by that. I'm a curious person.

And I'm definitely not content living with my husband sometimes. I told you and other people that I can't just get up and leave as I have no savings and nowhere to go. If I were to ever win the lottery or inherit a lot of money then my problem would be easy to fix. It'll take me forever to save up enough to leave him.

I do want to make things work at times as strange as that sounds as he can be good at times. I don't always listen to advice, but I have a few times. I got a job at Walmart, but due to unfortunate circumstances with theft and sexual harassment, I had to quit. I'm going to look for another job soon Hopefully I'll get hired for a night job so that I won't be around my *** of a husband that much.

And I'm going to that free therapy group tomorrow that I talked about awhile back. So I am doing something to try to fix my life to some degree.

I am glad you're OK about what I said!
Funnily enough, you did exactly what I meant in your replies! Take a look. 3 people replied, and you replied to each post one by one, making 3 posts in return. Instead of copying the 3 replies into one post and responding to each. I will try and find an example on another thread so you can see what I mean. It isn't that you repeat yourself at all (nor anything you say), it's just how your replies look.

I meant you are upset some people don't reply to your emails or some contractor said something or some people at work or laughing etc. you seem always upset over interactions with insignificant people. Yet you live for 20 years with abusing man and it doesn't upset you enough to leave. But we all do that at times. Focus on unimportant things so we don't have to fix big issues. It's common
Thanks for this!

I see what you mean. I try to reply to each person as each person asks different questions sometimes. I'll try to just copy and paste from now on.

Actually, I'm not as upset about the small things as I seem to be at times. I do get annoyed easily though. I'm sensitive, I can't help it- Being anxious doesn't help either- It's hard for those w/o anxiety to get that.

I worry about my friends as I've had bad experiences with former friends in the past. I try not to compare my present to my past, but it can be hard to do at times for me. I'm trying to improve my life now.

I have better friends. None of them treat me badly now. Only one is a bit insensitive it seems like, so I'm not going to talk about my problems with her as it doesn't seem like she wants to hear about my problems. She's just an activity friend.

My husband can be great at times. He has anger issues that he refuses to get help for. As I mentioned many times, I can't just get up and leave. It's normally not that bad.

I just applied for two jobs, and will apply for more later. Hopefully someone will call me back soon. And I didn't go to that free therapy place yet since the weather was bad yesterday and I thought that I would need to stay home to wait for a repair person. Anyways, I'm going next week for sure if the weather isn't to bad.
